Hi Caroline, I don't think your infection in childhood is relevant. How about your menstrual period? A possible reason, I am thinking, may be that you are experiencing menopause syndrome. And, fibromyalgia can not be excluded. You can go to see a rheumatologist for further check. For the fibromyalgia, gabapentin or ibuprofen might work.
Hi, Caroline. How about your complete blood count results such as the WBC value? It can be used to evaluate whether you are affected by an infection. Given your age, the signs and symptoms are more likely to be caused by menopause syndrome. A healthy diet and regular exercise program will go a long way towards minimizing the symptoms of menopause and helping to maintain overall good health. It is also a good idea to finally kick any old, unhealthy habits, such as smoking or drinking too much alcohol. Other interventions that may be helpful are to dress lightly and in layers and avoid potential triggers like caffeine and spicy foods.
