Feet swelling is frequently caused by too much fluid in the feet. The underlying problem for too much water in the feet is frequently kidney insufficiency, heart failure or liver problems. Eating too much salt would make the situation worse. To relieve the symptom of feet swelling, you can elevate your feet when sleeping. It is also suggested to check with a doctor to see if you have heart, kidney or liver problems.

There are some home remedies to relieve the swelling:

1. Use compression socks

2. Elevate your lower legs and feet when you lie down

3. Do not sit for too long. Get moving

4. Lose weight if you’re overweight

It is reassuring to go to the hospital to get your kidney function tested. Many who have feet swelling have also kidney problems.
