Hi, have you gotten a formal diagnosis for your lower back pain? I kinda feel that you may have spinal disc problem, such as disc protrusion or even disc herniation. Or you may have lower back chronic muscle strain. Definitely a bone doctor specializing in spinal problems is needed. You may also try the following:

  • Chiropractic care. A chiropractor hand-manipulates your spine to ease your pain.
  • Acupuncture. A practitioner of acupuncture inserts sterilized stainless steel needles into the skin at specific points on the body. Some people with low back pain report that acupuncture helps relieve their symptoms.
  • Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS). A battery-powered device placed on the skin delivers electrical impulses to the painful area. Studies have shown mixed results as to TENS' effectiveness.
  • Massage. If your back pain is caused by tense or overworked muscles, massage might help.
  • Yoga. There are several types of yoga, a broad discipline that involves practicing specific postures or poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques. Yoga can stretch and strengthen muscles and improve posture, although you might need to modify some poses if they aggravate your symptoms.

Hello, first of all, you need to clarify the cause of the low back pain before treatment. What's the diagnosis? What treatment did you get?

The waist is composed of vertebrae, muscle tissues and nerve tissues. Low back pain can be caused by vertebral diseases, soft tissue diseases beside the spine as well as stimulation of the spinal cord and spinal nerve root. Lumbar MRI is a very helpful diagnosis tool. Warm compress, traction and other physical therapies can relieve the pain. Sometimes, surgery may be needed.
