My leg has been burning all night. What caused it to feel hot? I have been using a cold towel on and off.

Did it start suddenly or develop gradually? Were you biten by some insects? If it starts suddenly, it might be an allergic reaction caused by insects. Otherwise, burning legs are usually a symptom of damage, infection, or injury to a sensory nerve. If it persists or gets worse, go to the ER ASAP.
Hi Vickie. Do you have any disease, especially that can involve the peripheral nerve such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis? Any of these diseases can cause this symptom. In addition, do you also have leg swelling? In my opinion, if the burning sensation just started, you can wait and watch for a few days.
