Chest pain is a common side effect of radiotherapy. Radiotherapy can effectively inhibit the synthesis of cancer cells and kill cancer cells. If the chest pain is serious, you can take painkillers to control it. But never give up treatment because of side effects. Also, try to take high-protein foods (eggs, lean meat, etc.) to enhance your immune function.
Hi Michael, what kind of cancer do you mean? Do you have pain on both sides? It may be related to radiation-associated pneumonia, or other tissue injury post radiation. You can go to the oncologist for further examination.
