Horrible smelling stools, some loose, mostly constipated, daily stools, but usually greasy looking. Horrible smelling gas, very frequent and  uncontrollable gas. Terrible heartburn that never stops. Heavy phlegm buildup in throat, hack up white or clear phlegm, sometimes tinged with blood, never clears. Stomach pain, burning on top area below center breasts area. Regurgitation of fluid and foods often. No preknowledge of and uncontrollable urination and now bowel movements. Some choking when swallowing liquid or foods. I'm 57. On Nexium which hasn't been helping. Symptoms have worsen over 2 1/2 years now. Insurance and my co-pays have kept me from getting medical attention. I fear the worse. I also take Sertaline and very little Alprazapam, maybe twice weekly, low doses.

I think that you may need to get a a gastroscopy and a colonoscopy. It seems that you may have gastroesophageal reflux disease, which causes phlegm and heartburn. You may also have gastritis or peptic ulcers. Tests for helicobacter pylori (a kind of germ that causes this) should be performed. As for your stools, a screening colonscopy for colon cancer or polyps is recommended.
Obviously, you have a lot of gastrointestinal problems, such as acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, gastritis and perhaps hemorrhoids. If doctors and tests are not available to you, empirical treatment with medications seem to be the only option. Meds like sodium bicarbonate tablets may help. It also helps to eat soft foods. Consult your doctor.
