What does it mean with stage 4 liver cancer and numbers just went up to 105. CEA
Stage 4 liver cancer means the tumor has spread far away from the origin into other organs of the body, this progression is also known as metastasis. In this case, the cancer will no longer be curable with localized therapies such as surgery or radiotherapy. CEA 105 is far beyond the normal range, meaning the tumor is growing fast.
Metastasis.

What happens when a person is in stage 4b liver cancer? I have a friend that I care for, I'd like to know what to expect.
A few possibilities:

1. rupture of liver causing major bleeding that can't be stopped
2. liver failure when can be fatal in 48 hours
3. infection that can't be controlled
