Get him into a massage therapist, they can relax him and may be able to alleviate a "small" part of his pain..I am a Massage Therapist and my idea would be to do whatever feels good for him, hotstones, swedish, aromatherapy. but just a calm peaceful enviroment to just simply RELAX for an hour or 2...massage increases endorphines which are the bodies natural feel good hormones..Its worth a shot...however try to find a therapist who is trained in Oncology Massage
some therapists will travel to your home
I've heard that massage will speed up metastasis, isn't it true?
Some say so, because message stimulates blood flow, and cancer matastasis is founded on blood flow. But there's no such research claiming right or wrong. So there's a risk, at least.
My husband just passed away from liver cancer. The cancer had spread to most of his organs. He was in excruciating pain until the very end. I had him on home hospice, which was a tremendous relief. Hospice provided all medical treatment, no more appointments or pharmacies. Pain meds were prescribed, but they didn't help much as the cancer progressed. The pain becomes so great, there just isn't much to be done.
