What medications do you use? Ibuprofen may be helpful.

I’ve had Gout for the first time in my elbow. After 4 days went to a doctor, the drained me elbow for fluids but it wasn’t any fluid. Got a shot. 7 days later I am still in pain and my elbow is stiff. Can’t reach to my head to style my hair. Have iced it and used very little heat. I can not take ibuprofen or any NSAID medication due to kidney disease.
Any suggestions?

For symptomatic relief, you can take tramadol, which does not cause kidney damage. But it is a narcotic, and long-term use is problematic. For the long-term treatment and prevention of gout, Febuxostat is recommended.

I think you need another shot of glucocorticoids; common medications for acute gout are not suitable for you since you have kidney disease. Glucocorticoids are effective to inhibit inflammation and temporarily application will not cause severe side effects. As mentioned by James Ward, after your acute gout is controlled, you can use Febuxostat for long-term treatment. But this should be managed based on your diet control.
