Hello Donna, severe cellulitis can be complicated, that's what a doctor is trained for. When the infection gets serious, patients need prescription, and even surgery. Home remedies can't really help.
I had to go in the hospital for medication to be given intravenously over a few days. Before mine was cleared up. It was gone for a month and unfortunately as of tonite I believe it's back. I'm a diabetic so may be why for me. Check with her doctor about the IV for medication treatment and let me know what happens. Good luck Markus MacGill. Hope all turns out well for your mother.
Cynthia Parke, the 1st time i started getting cellulitis in the legs i determined what was causing after drs.could not find the reason and antibiotics were not working very well. Mine was a severe allergic reaction to a medication and they kept telling me that med.would not cause thst reaction. I first just gained an excessive amt.of water weight in my feet legs and it kept going up till it was putting fluid in my lungs and effecting my breathing. When i had to sleep sitting up and had gained 60 lbs of water in my whole body i took myself off of the medication b4 it killed me. Two weeks lster and 60 lbs slimmer i went to dr.and showed them. As far as i know they still made no notes of that in any records or publicstions not even in my records. You can die from it and drs.dont always know or except whats causing. The medication was methidone, and later would have the same reaction to bibusiprone which is Suboxone.

Can you have cellulitis in both legs
It usually occurs on one side of your body, but sometimes it can happen to both sides.
