Hello Ms. Lewis, kidney cyst doesn’t cause pain usually, the pain can be relapse of gastric ulcer, or neuropathy of T2DM, or angina pectoris. Being diabetic is a risk factor for coronary heart disease. Kidney cyst is the least likely to cause the pain.

You should tell me your age, sex, history of illness, location of chest pain, degree of chest pain (such as severe? Slight? Dull pain? The nature of pain (such as knife cutting or burning)? Burning pain? Tingling? Narrow strangulation?....) uuuuuuuuuuuu The duration of pain, the factors affecting pain and the accompanying symptoms, etc.
I had a left radical nephrectomy  4 months ago, for the past two weeks I've been having pain on my right side radiating down my leg and right lower back.
My suggestion is that you see your surgeon again. I am not sure about the reason of your left radical nephrectomy. Was it painful before the surgery? Common reason for radiating pain :lumbar disc herniation. you should do test to find out.
