There isn't always a fever but cellulitis with a fever is an emergency. Cellulitis is a skin infection, if it goes deeper it affects connective tissues, muscles maybe, but bones rarely.

It's a bacterial infecion of the tissues beneath the skin. You get it when the bacteria gets into your skin. It's easier for bacteria to get into your skin when you:
have an open wound or a cut, a burn or a blister.
have any disbalance of the skin, like eczema, psoriasis or athlete’s foot
have a weakened immune system
Diabetes, obesity, and pregnancy could also put you at a greater risk.

You don't have cellular Titus while you may not this is a fraudulent doctor because he tells everybody cuz that's one of the things he studies to come here and be a fake doctor and instill all our money find a doctor you've known forever my son had cellulitis to and the lady at the grocery store had it to in her belly but he doesn't know what else to tell anybody

I was rushed to the hospital, unconsious, and the tests proved.... cellulitis. I've been home over a month, but the rash on my feet and ankles remain, along with much pain, swelling and itching How long does cellulitis usually last? Except for a waterpill a day, and biofreeze for the pain, they aren't doing anything for it. I have about 20 pair of shoes I can't wear because of swollen feet. I am often in agony and depression. What is usually done to get that damn cellulitis out of my system?  How long can a body stand this disease? Both physically and emotionally, I'm a wreck. Never heard of this disease before  I got it at age 83, now it's all that's on my mind. PLEASE HELP!!! Sandy

Have your received antibiotics treatment? And do you have any co-morbidities, such as diabetes mellitus? Generally cellulitis could be cured within a few months in adults. Diuretics and painkillers are not helpful for the cellulitis itself.

It will last forever if you don't get antibiotics. Even then it will takes months to completely cure it.

I've been dealing with this going on 2 years. And, I'm about to lose what little sanity I have left.I recently took 7 rounds of powerful antibiotics. Then my Dr.cut me off. It was helping.I  go to  see him on the 23rd. And, we're going to have a  serious talk. I'm tired of this and I want it gone, whatever it takes.
