I am 68 years old. I was told two years ago I have endometfiosis with the lining a number of 19 that should show at mt age 2.5.  The doctor said no need to return unless i start spotting blood.  I am confused now about my female health.  Do I just never go back for a female check up now that I am turning 69 ? I have an aweful discharge that smells of amonia?
now you have new symptoms, you should see your doctor. maybe it's a infection unrelated to endometriosis, but you still need therapy.
My Mother is 91 years young. She went for a visit to the doctors for abdominal pain they told her she has endometriosis. She had a hysterectomy many years ago. Can this be possible?
Yes. Endometriosis is the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus grows outside your uterus. Endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining your pelvis. A hysterectomy may remove only the upper part of the uterus, or removes the whole uterus and cervix, or removes the whole uterus, tissue on the sides of the uterus, the cervix, and the top part of the vagina. As long as the hysterectomy your mother had didn't remove the tissue on the sides of the uterus, endometriosis is possible.
I am 75 years old and have not had any periods for years. Been thru menopause in my 40ds. Today I went to the bathroom and had some bleeding in my diaper which I wear because of leakage. Is this normal and I was taking a medication which was on recall and stopped as soon as the drug store told me to stop using it. Why after all these years would I soundly start bleedin?
Bleeding post menopause needs attention, it's linked to cancer. Please see your gynecologist at your earliest convenience, Mrs. Dicki Jean Bosley.
