I have a c7 spinal cord injury is it help for me?
If there's nerve compression, surgery will help.
My name is Kelly I am thinking about having spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis. I am a little scared because I don't know how bad it is
A lot of people relieved after taking the surgery, some of them had even terrible pain post it. It's not a 100% guarantee. If you've decided, think it positively.
I have L-1 through L-5 fusion good for me just keep walking
I had the Extreme LaterL Lumbar L4 & L5. Best thing I had done. It also helps on the 3rd. day after surgery request therapy. If your insurance covers a rehabilitation center go. You won’t regret it. I was in for 6 weeks. I’m still taking therapy at home, in home health care. Insurance should cover that as well. Walk, walk, walk and always wear your back brace when you are up including sitting. Just not laying down. To lay down sit lay on your side then roll to your back, put a pillow under your knees, takes pressure off your back. When getting up roll to side then sit up. Put brace on. You won’t regret it. It’s been 2 months and I’m not in pain anymore and I can use my right leg again.
Of course I have the best surgery in the world, Dr. Michael Leahy in Tomball. Texas
Thank you,
Scarlet

I have horrible pinched nerve in L4 n 5.legs are in brutal pain and have been 4 over a year.. what to do?
Doctors commonly start from conservative treatment. Do you know any activity that you might be over-doing for a long time that may have led to the pinched nerve? If you're aware of it, stop doing that activity, take rest.

Physical therapy will be the start. Do exercises that can strengthen your muscle there. If you don't want to approach a therapist, try to get a book, an online one can also work.

If you feel way too pain, ibuprofen is commonly used.

The final resolution is surgery.

How do I know all of these? Coz I have pain from pinched nerve too.
You need to see a  neurosurgeon as soon as you can. When I was 31 I ruptured a disc that was pinching a nerve . I went to 3 doctors that wouldn’t do the surgery and the 4th one did. Because I had waited to long I had to have emergency surgery because my left foot kept drawing up on me. I found out that the nerve that was pinched went to my bladder. Because it had been pinched for so long it damaged the muscles that works to relieve your pee. So now I’m supposed to cath myself every time I go to the bathroom. It’s dangerous to wait. The doctor can order you a  epidural steroid injection. It numbs the nerve and helps the pain a lot. Good luck.
