What about people that ..let’s say aren’t the healthiest? I have a friend that they had to put  in. Medical coma over this. And I am worried
Preferred are macrolides or fluoroquinolones(Azithromycin), and tetracyclines and rifampin are also effective. Aminoglycosides and penicillin and cephalosporin antibiotics are not effective against this disease.
The initial treatment should be administered intravenously. The clinical treatment response usually occurs within 3 to 5 days, followed by oral sequential therapy. For patients with normal immunity, the entire course of treatment is 10 to 14 days, and for immunodeficiency and advanced cases should be extended to 3 weeks.
Antibiotics can also be selected based on drug susceptibility testing。
don't worry , it  can be treated.
Hi, my name is Vince and im having the same thing pneumonia. The doctor gave me Azithromycin but its only for 5 days and i ran out. But im still having chest pain, little sweaty, and minor cough. Where can I get more medicine or what other medicine i can use to cure it completely. Because my doctor is horrible she wont give me more Azithromycin or pain meds. Help me please!
Azithromycin is the most suitable antibiotic for legionella pneumonia. Is your azithromycin is 250mg? If yes, then the total dosage for treating infections is 1500mg. You take 500mg at the first day, and every 250mg for the next 4 days. In total, you take the med for 5 days.  This is a typical one cycle of treatment. If your pneumonia have not been cured, ask your dr for additional cycles of azithromycin.
