How treatable is sepsis? It’s not severe yet. Is sepsis in the blood or in organs?
Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that arises when the body's response to infection causes injury to its own tissues and organs.  Common signs and symptoms include fever, increased heart rate, increased breathing rate, and confusion. There may also be symptoms related to a specific infection, such as a cough with pneumonia, or painful urination with a kidney infection.  In the very young, old, and people with a weakened immune system, there may be no symptoms of a specific infection and the body temperature may be low or normal, rather than high. Severe sepsis is sepsis causing poor organ function or insufficient blood flow. Insufficient blood flow may be evident by low blood pressure, high blood lactate, or low urine output.  Septic shock is low blood pressure due to sepsis that does not improve after fluid replacement.
In a nutshell, it can be dangerous, it is treatable. the effectiveness of treatment depends on the pathgen and your immue system.
Can you transfer through sex
No.Sepsis itself is not contagious, but the pathogens that cause sepsis are usually contagious. In other words, the pathogens that may cause sepsis can be transferred, usually from person to person, directly or indirectly (by contaminated items like utensils or clothing).
Sepsis is the infection of blood, it's not like a common bacterial infection, a common infection doesn't infect the blood. Only when a common infection can't be controled and cleared, the infection develops further into a blood infection, then sepsis it is.

Hello. As from your description, there's no information of infection type(which type of bacteria, virus?) and infection body part. You've mentiond about the teeth, I'll guess that the gum is infected as well? Before the pathogen is identified, it's hard to comment on the contagion. My suggestion is that you get advcie from your boyfriend's primary doctor, he should have known the pathogen, and other existing problems if any. If you have more information(result of examinations, lab test) and come back, we should be able to give you more informative opinion.
Can you get septic from laying on heating pad With nothing on and burn your back
Hi Jill, yes, when the back was burn, there's a wound. If the wound wasn't taken well care of, infection occurred. If the infection was treated and cleared, it leads to sepsis.
