My doctor told me that I shouldn't withdraw and stay home with concussion symptoms. This is my fifth or sixth concussion. I also lost vision in my left eye. Two of my previous concussions almost killed me. I am still having symptoms after almost three months. My Doctor said the symptoms can last for about one year. He also told me because of my history, I am more prone to concussions now. I can get them easier, so I have to be very careful and mindful of that. My doctor explained to me how symptoms of a concussion wax and wane. There are days where I cannot get out of bed due to severe headaches, which are now starting to subside. One headache left weakness on my left side of my body. It is weaker than my right whereas before, it was stronger. I lift weights and I can notice a difference. I dropped the amount of weight I use considerably. I went from 15-pound dumbbells to 5 pounds. So when I am having a good day with little or no symptoms, I go to the gym, grocery shop, etc. I do the things I usually do and e
Hello Ms. Julia, how come you had concussion a couple of times? Concussion is a traumatic injury, how could you have that 5 to 6 times? Sorry for being straightforward, I'm just so curious about it.
I've had bout 4 concussions in the last year , most recent yesterday I stood up after being in a squat position  & hit my head hard on a handle ( which is a pipe]of a chopsaw  , I have cervical dystonia in my neck .right now I have poor balance . My head feels really warm.ive put ice on it is there anything else I can do @ home
You should go to see a doctor to get evaluated for some complications, such as a hematoma or a bone fracture.
