My daughter is 11 yeas old will be 12 in October 26. This past week 10-6- 2018. She had a hockey tournament in Las Vegas. In her last game on Sunday morning she got hit in her chest by a skater that was coming full force. Skaters hit her with his shoulder right in her chest, she feel back and hit her head first on the ice. Her body follow down to in the ice. She said it took her a few seconds to realize what had happened to her. She went back to the bench and Coach stayed her down for 2 shifs. Late she complained of top head hurting bakf pain would come down to her eyes. I'm a bit concerned if she might later have any complications.
Hi Mrs. Ortega, the first week I was in college, in a game I was knocked down by a strong guy when he was running fast, I still can recall the feeling as if the brain was pushed roughly and quickly to the other side and pulled back hard right away. For 10-15 seconds I was barely conscious. After that I was a bit dizzy but I then was okay. Didn't see a Dr. I was so young. You know what? I had 7 years depression after that, without any reason. It was so hard for me to regain myself in 7 years' time. Now 10 years have passed, one day, when I talked to my friend who went to medical school, he said, you probably had a concussion at that moment, and the depression is a post-concussion problem. I'm trying to say that please take her to see a Dr. and get medical support as much as possible. Don't let what happened to me happen to your daughter.

When I was living with my mom, I was standing on my sisters jacket trying to get something and she pulled it from under me and I hit my head on the heater and I don't remember anything after that but I like couple minutes after my mo told me not go to sleep because that movements I felt tired. To this day I'm living with my dad because my mom couldn't raise us and to this day I have a scar and sometimes my head hurts where it is but I still don't know what happened.
concussion could last for years...
