cannot pass solid food   severe pain on left side cannot lay down.  I am on a ensure and apple sauce diet and takes 48 hours for a bowel movement
I am not sure what it is, But it sounds very serious, you should go to hospital and have tests , otherwise , it could get worse and life-threatening.
How are they treated,I have a father 76 who's just gone in with this and it's kicked his butt, he's weaker then I've ever seen him and it's scaring me like mad.
There are medication that can dissolve the stones, in case medication doens't work well, doctors will perform surgery to remove the gallstones. Pancreatitis makes people suffer but they're treatable.
