So....i have this and am on b pap..mhaving problems sleeping with it...it wont seal and wakes me upsuggestions?
Hi Mr. Kost, generally BP medicine isn't going to keep you awake all night long. It's good for you to sleep with BiPAP device.
I believe Leslie’s struggles are with the dual pressures and leaking, presumably from mouth (using nasal pillows even with chin strap, or a full face mask when sleeping on side that likely leakes on the higher of the two pressures.  Not blood pressure medications, she doesn’t mention that is an issue.

I would image Leslie sleeps on her back when initiating sleep and switches to her side and back and forth.  Those changes depending on pillow blow air out seals (either out mouth-nasal pillows, or mask on side). Been there gone through it Leslie, I am sorry as I have been desaturating and have had all the issues mentioned above.  That being said, I wouldn’t consider the Inspire device.

The device is too new, invasive surgeries, not covered by most Insurance’s, and most notably everyone will need a MRI, chance of antibody rejection (requiring removal and could cause other health issues, scaring, tumor formation, who knows?  Medical device FDA approval process isn’t thorough enough.

There are only two docs in my state doing the procedure.  The sleep center I go to is the biggest and most well renown in the Pacific NW and said there are too many variables.  I would try out Respironics new nasal pilllow mask or the dreamware mask from Phillips.  Try using every chin strap if you are leaking air out of your mouth, try CPAP pillows for full face mask.  If your on Bi-Pap I would image you have some component of OSA which this wouldnt help.  A O2 bleed into your machine I would also try if your desaturating.  I would also consider Belsomra a new sleep med that doesn’t hit the typical gaba receptors like most hypnotics.  Best of luck!
What devices is a asv devices and a bpap. Device? I have central sleep apnea and I want to know what device should I use. Also I am feeling a tightness in my head could this be due to central sleep apnea?
Hi, James, you can find more info about these devices in following post. https://healthtopquestions.com/cpap-bpap-and-asv-what-are-the-differences/
Adaptive Servo Ventilation (ASV) – is a medical technology that utilizes positive airway pressure ventilatory support that is adjusted based on the detection of apneas, or pauses in breathing, during sleep. CPAP stands for continuous positive airway pressure. It is the most popular treatment for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). It uses air pressure generated by a machine, delivered through a tube into a mask that fits over the nose or mouth. BiPAP refers to Bilevel or two-level positive airway pressure. Like CPAP, air is sent through a tube into a mask that fits over the nose. While CPAP generally delivers a single pressure, BiPAP delivers an inhale pressure and an exhale pressure. BiPAP is a trademark of Respironics.
Which one is better? ASV or BPAP or CPAP? I need one to sleep.
Hi, Zoe, each is used for a special purpose, you can click the following link and check the differences among them. Choose one according to your needs. https://healthtopquestions.com/cpap-bpap-and-asv-what-are-the-differences/
I have B-pap that is ASV...
I've been told recently that I am hypoxic. Have been treated for sleep apnea and have had a pulmonary function test and am normal there. Overnight pulse ox was 88% for 90 min. Total. D ont know what to think.
94% is the borderline. You may consider a ventilator?
O2 bleed into your machine like 1 liter with a oxygen concentrator.  Sleep meds, pain meds, chronic pulmonary disease can all cause central sleep apnea and typically a side effects from medications
