When using statins, or just starting, add CoQ 10, 300mg per day to alleviate or prevent symptoms. Allow 3-6 weeks before you say it's not working. Then increase by 100mg/day as needed, allowing 3-4 or 6 weeks with each increase to determine if it's working or not. Switching statins also will help, but you should be using CoQ 10 when on statins whether you develop muscle pains or not.
