Thank you for your opinion . I had a major back surgery done . I had spinal stenosis, degenerated disk , etc . Had a fusion that didn't work. I didn't want I call it hard ware in back so he did with bone marrow something like that! After six months he said it didn't take. This was 2015 then diagnosed with cancer 2016 . Ok now but my leg has gotten worse on the one side I stated I've been in physical therapy several time. I take OxyContin alone with over the counter pain meds that doesn't help with this onset pain through out the day running me crazy . My biggest concern is I really don't want another surgery. With the sciatica nerve can it get worse, what I have it's getting worse! What is long term effect? Can it get better? If I do nothing ? They mentioned a stimulator to go in back for pain but I'm fearful. Is there any possibility that my body can heal itself? I don't want it to be said ! You waited too long. I know it's just opinion so can you share your thought?
I agree abt surgery avoid very few I know have good results or relief very long . I have just been diagnosed with a fractured sacrum , herniated disk hoping to get nerves burned since I can’t do a surgery
You may have very serious problem after your nerve is burned, such as no feelings at the lower limb and incontinence. You should consult the doctor about the risk. I'd even recommend you get a second opinion from a different doctor, this is a serious one.

Hello Mrs. Burley,  if you do have  sciatica, it'll help to keep still and wait the regional inflammation and edema to go away. It may take long. It's hard to say the sciatica can get worse or better. Normally it doesn't go away, but you may lose the feeling of pain, you get hurt without knowing it, then infection can occur. Some people could lose bladder control later. Oyxconin only stops the pain for a while. A stimulator can work for some people, not all people. You mentioned cancer but information is limited. No need to say if you can consult the Dr. who performed the surgery that'll be the best since the Dr. has all your test results.
I have pain when i push on my muscles in my legs. Hurts to touch shinn. Sharp pain groin , knees. Only Rt leg.
You may suffer lumbar disc herniation, recommend you go to the hospital.
I have a Medtronic pain pump so why do my thighs and legs hurt ?   I have had 4 failed surgeries between both of my knees, I can't press on my legs Too painful
Have you used more powerful painkillers? The most potent anti-pain drug has certain addictiveness.
The horrendous leg pain started after my last nerve block injection, one of about 6. Getting injections in my lower back every month for about 6 months, these do not include the epidural (2 or 3 of these). I am currently unable to stand up for any amount of time,or walk for any amount of time. The pain is also in my toes,I can't wear socks, not to mention putting on shoes. Also, after the last injection, that numbed my buttocks, down to the bend of my knees,my skin hurts, which means I can't put on my clothes, expect for soft pajamas. I'm in so much pain! It's taken over my life.I'm still under this "pain management" doctor. Please help me get some relief, also, the leg pain causes me to loose sleep.
What is your primary disease? If your primary disease aggravated, you should treat the primary disease. If it is a herniated disc, you should see a surgeon, consideration for surgery. I think there is no other way.
Yes hi there i,ve been having real bad leg & foot to my toes cramps just today around 11:00am i was trying to get up from my bed. to go to the kitchen , that's when in the back of my right leg but my calf just knotted in to a ball like somebody was pulling my muscle three within a 60 seconds. ..Boy that was very painful. i was crying in pain..whats can i do.
The leg spasm is commonly associated with calcium deficiency. Try to take calcium supplement, that should help.
I sometimes get very severe leg spasms in my lower legs and feet. I am unable to straighten my ankles or feet. When this happens I hobble out to the kitchen to take some electrolytes in the for of magnesium citrzte, calcium citrate and a small potassium hallucinate pill. I also take an OTC available pills called "Leg Cramps" All these together help relieve the spasms. I also take prophylactic 3 of the magnesium citrate recaps every night with my nightly meds. They seem to help a lot and prevent almost all of the spasms. I use only the citrate form of calcium and magnesium pills as citrate are absorbed better.
I recently  made a 2 2 day trip and for got to pack the MgCitrate pills with me. When I got home 3 days later I had a major spasm event involving my entire below waist body going into spasms that lasted about 5 minutes. The pain was excruciating. As soon as I could move I went and took the Mg,  Ca citrate and K gluconae pills and went back to bed. I haven't had any more spasms but I always us
She the Mg eve night. I try to get enough Ca from my diet. When I need .ca supplements I only use the citrate form.
You may want to try this. I think these are Nature Made brand. I Get them at Safeway when the have their buy 1 get 1 free sales. It's hard to explain these to Dr.s because they only think
K of electrolytes in milliequivalents
My husband tells me my feet and legs are almost too hot to touch at night. Cold grass or water feels good on my feet all the time but during the day,if you touch them they are cold?
This might be related to slight inflammation, or poor circulation. Try to exercise to improve circulation, take some antioxidant supplement or foods rich in antioxidants that helps fight inflammation and also improves circulation.

This condition might be due to severe sciatica. Sciatica nerve was impinged at the lumbar vertebra site or the places along it. Thus you need to take examination about your spine and pelvis. Besides, usually this condition can produce abnormal feelings. I guess, it's just that you felt it's cold but it's not actually cold. If you really have icy feet, vascular ultrasound of the legs needs to be examined.
