I recently was told I had a small tumor and was going to have surgery to remove. Afterwards I was told it was an aggressive cancer. My Dr wants to set me up for another surgery. Waiting on call to set it up. Not sure yet if it has invaded the muscle wall. What can I expect next?
Commonly chemotherapy after the surgery. Your doctor may show you other treatment plans like immune therapy, but chemo is the common choice in a situation like yours.
Surgery first, if your doctor decide to remove the entire bladder a reconstruction is needed. Then chemotherapy.
