I had or have(?) a hiatal hernia. It was so bad if my head went lower than sitting up I would have stomach acid come out of my nose and mouth at the same time. My dr. Did a nisson procedure. It worked but within a year I started having pain while eating and drinking. I had a scope the other day. My esophagus does not look normal but there aren’t a lot of pics of an esophagus . I have 4 pics of mine but not much to compare them with. The pain attacks I have are the worse pain in the world. Dr hasn’t told me nothing but I’ll have pain! I know that already. Do you have pics of a normal and a sick esophagus ? Ty.

Ok what do you do if you think that hiatal hernia got bigger?? How do you know if it's sick??
You can do some tests such as X-ray of your upper digestive system or upper endoscopy to confirm it. In general, most people with a hiatal hernia don't experience any signs or symptoms and won't need treatment. If you experience signs and symptoms, such as recurrent heartburn and acid reflux, you may need medication or surgery.
