Xalatan is a prescription medication used to treat glaucoma. The drug is available on an outpatient basis in a retail pharmacy or via mail order. Outpatient medications are covered under Medicare Part D, available from a private insurance carrier.

It depends on what insurance plan you're on. If you have medicare part D, check your drug plan formulary if the drug is covered and your out of pocket share.
