In right leg shin bone hurting
Such pain often diminishes as the human body self-repairs. If the pain is severe, take some OTC pain pills.
I dropped a can on my foot and it made my shin hurt. The toes I think cramped causing the shin to hurt especially at night. Consider flat shoe for awhile which may help.
Certainly, you should visit an orthopedic surgeon and get an X-ray to find the underlying etiology for shin pain. However, for symptom relief, here is what I'd do:
Keep the legs elevated.
Use ice packs to reduce swelling. Shop for cold compresses.
Take an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory, such as ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen sodium (Aleve). Shop for ibuprofen and naproxen sodium.
Wear elastic compression bandages. Shop for elastic compression bandages.
Use a foam roller to massage your shins. Shop for foam rollers.
Most shin bone pains are from injury, which means you know why it's in pain. If you aren't aware of any injury, you need x-ray the bone.
