Can humans get the infection from a dog.
Oh, yes. C. difficile bacteria is actually everywhere, from animal feces, to soil, air and water.
Can humans get yeast from their dog?
Dogs normally have yeast cells on the skin, in the stomach and in the intestinal tract. They develop yeast infections when the yeast cells overgrow due to use of antibiotics or other conditions. They are not contagious to other pets, nor humans. But bacterial or fungal infections associated with the yeast infections are contagious.
