DIRECT LDL/HDL RATIO 1.75

Please explain in plain language what exactly this means.  How can my husband improve the HDL number above or if he even should?  Report said normal range but what is the normal range?  Is this the higher end of normal or lower end of normal range?  His LDL is 77.
Hi,The LDL-C/HDL-C ratio is one of the important risk factors for atherosclerotic coronary disease, which is significantly better than the individual content of cholesterol or other blood lipids, and the risk of coronary artery disease increases with the increase of the ratio. The reference range of each hospital is different, and you need to refer to the reference value of the unit in which the report is given.
