My doctor explained it to me like this: Your very end of your spine or tailbone has connective muscle/ligament that coccyx is attached to. The coccyx is a triangular shaped piece of like cartilage that we all have and really don’t need. Think of how we as humans all evolved from early man: learning not to crawl around like apes but gradually became erect and walked standing like we do today.)
Some of us are unfortunately affected by this coccyx; whether we had a fall and injured our tailbone , sit for long periods of time with improper posture causes those tissues to stretch and get sore. Especially right at tip of your tailbone... you can feel sometimes a little pad of inflamed tissue like a cyst right at the end of your tailbone and it hurts like hell to the point it’s difficult to get up and off a chair or car seat or even the toilet! Seek help from your doctor asking him to x-ray first then recommend a Pain Clinic and that doctor at Pain Clinic will give you options for help.
