My test results were 13.400, doctor wants to increase my medication...is that right. When normal is. 4.680???
Hi Ms. Green, thyroid test includes TSH, T3, T4, and free T4. Since you've mentioned normal is 4.68 I'd assume you meant TSH. For TSH, when the number goes high, it means the thyroid is underactive, it's reasonable to increase medication.

My test came back.046 what does this mean.
It is 046 or 0.046 or 0.46?
Ms. Jones, I see it's 0.046, however TSH can be stated in different units, e.g. mIU/ml, uIU/ml, you'll have to tell the unit for your value.
Hi, normal TSH level:

21‑54 years: 0.4‑4.2 mIU/L
55‑87 years: 0.5‑8.9 mIU/L

I guess the unit for yours isn't mIU/L?
What happens if the pills don’t work and it keeps going down?
How can this happen? The pills definitely work unless you bought a fake pill, which seems extremely unlikely.

If what you assumed is true, you are still affected by hypothyroidism.
