How is granulomatosis treated (respiratory related)
it's a lind of disorder in immune system. you should go to Rheumatology department, get treatment from professionals. It's a serious problem.
Multiple sinus infections, kidney disease/failure, and lung disease (i.e., coughing up blood) can be seen to name a few manifestations of the disease. Also, the condition is officially known as granulomatosis with polyangiitis, not Wegener's granulomatosis anymore (this eponym is strongly discouraged since it was renamed officially in 2011 since it used to be named after a Nazi doctor, Friedrich Wegener). If you want to sound well-educated, I strongly recommend using the term granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA for short).
I was diagnosed with Wegener's on 9/12/2019, just 2 days short of my 63rd birthday.  My symptoms began long before I was diagnosed.  It all began with a cough, then I began to get very weak.  I would have to lie down and rest every day and my cough became chronic.  I went to all kinds of doctors and no doctor could find anything.  That's how hard Wegener's is to diagnose,  until one night I started to spit up blood.  My husband took me to Parkwest Medical Center.  The ER doctor was awesome. He ran some tests and got the ball rolling. He called in a pulmonologist, who ran his tests. My lungs were filled with blood. The pulmonologist then called in a nephrologist, who ordered blood treatments, called plasmapheresis. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks.  I am still fighting this disease today.  But there is hope for tomorrow!
