Systane is a type of ocular lubricant, to moisture, relieve irriation and burn feeling of dry eyes. Side effects include strange taste in the mouth, like any other eye drops, and mild irritation, itching, watery eyes, blurred vision. The most serious side effect is allergy, if you notice swollen face or tongue, short of breath, go to ER.
Would Systane cause Vertigo?
It  is a solution specially formulated to moisten the eyes, and  is used to relieve burning, irritation, and discomfort caused by dry eyes.
Systane may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Before taking this medicine,you should not use an Systane if you are allergic to it. This medicine will not treat or prevent an eye infection.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist if it is safe for you to use Systane if you have any type of infection in your eye.
Systane is not expected to harm an unborn baby. Ask a doctor or pharmacist about using this medicine if you are pregnant.
It is not known whether ocular lubricant passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Ask a doctor or pharmacist about using ocular lubricant if you are breast-feeding.

Systane may cause blurred vision. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be able to see clearly.Do not use other eye medications unless your doctor tells you to.

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using Systane and call your doctor if you have:
severe burning, stinging, or eye irritation after using the medicine; eye pain; or vision changes.
There is no report for Vertigo  caused by Systane.
It was okay on me. Kind of expensive, I think.
Used before going to sleep, the next morning my eyes were blood red, scary. Throw it away, waste of money.
My friend likes Systane, it works great on her. I tried for a couple of days, worse than before, even drier. I use Refresh now, Refresh is good for me.

Guess people are different.
