Leukemia, also spelled leukaemia, refers to a group of cancers that start from abnormal white blood cells in the bone marrow. The cells involved are called blasts or leukemia cells which means immature white blood cells. Symptoms Patients with leukemia may have symptoms like:
  • Bleeding and bruising problems,
  • Fatigue
  • Fever
  • Increased risk of infections
These symptoms occur as a result of a lack of normal blood cells. Diagnosis Diagnosis is typically made by repeated blood tests or bone marrow biopsy. However, sometimes, blood tests may not show any signs of the disease, especially in the early stages.   Keywords: leukemia; leukemia_; leukemia+
