According to the ADA, we should achieve our goals in the A1c levels. 1. For adults without pregnancy, a reasonable A1C goal is less than 7%. 2. Type 2 Diabetes without other diseases should achieve an A1C goal less than 6.5%. 3. Type 2 Diabetes with other microvascular or macrovascular complications should make the goal less than 8%.
