Women are more likely to be carriers of hemophilia. Hemophilia is located on the X chromosome. Only when a woman has defects on both two X chromosome, she develops the disease. A woman who has one affected X chromosome is a carrier of hemophilia. She doesn’t have the disease, but she can pass the affected gene on to her children, especially boys. However, although a woman is just a carrier, she can also have some symptoms of hemophilia. In this case, the woman is regarded as patients with mild hemophilia.   Keywords: female hemophilia; females who are carriers hemophilia
