YES! UV (ultraviolet) treatment is one of the effective ways to deal with psoriasis. There are four types of phototherapy.
  • Sunlight.
  • UVB (ultraviolet B).
  • PUVA (psoralen plus ultraviolet A).
  • Lasers: highly target your psoriasis patches, not your healthy skin.
How Does UV Light Treatment help Psoriasis? When the psoriasis patches are exposed, the UV psoriasis light kills the T-cells, and thus reduces inflammation. At the same time, the rate of producing skin cell has been slowed. Be careful! If you receive any kind of phototherapy, including natural sunlight, remember not to get too much. And have regular skin exams to check for signs of skin cancer. Keywords: uv treatment psoriasis
