Most people don't have any symptoms, or they have only very mild symptoms. Symptoms of valley fever may include:
- Cough
- Fever
- Fatigue (tiredness)
- Headache
- Muscle aches or joint pain
- Night sweats
- Rash on upper body or legs
- Shortness of breath
In extremely rare cases, the fungal spores can enter the skin through a cut, wound, or splinter and cause a skin infection.
