Amyloidosis is a systemic disorder. It is classified into several types, including primary amyloidosis, secondary amyloidosis and familial amyloidosis. Primary amyloidosis is the most common type. It may be caused by an abnormality of plasma cells in the bone marrow and has a close relationship with multiple myeloma. Although the exact cause of primary amyloidosis is still known, the primary amyloidosis is seen in people with multiple myeloma. Researches show that 15% of patients with multiple myeloma are affected by amyloidosis. Keywords: multiple myeloma amyloidosis
