Possibly. When left untreated, botulism may cause paralysis or even death. But if you get immediate and proper treatment, the condition can totally disappear in a few months. Botulism is a serious disease caused by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It releases a poison that attacks your nervous system. Although botulism is rare, it's a medical emergency and can even threaten your life. Seek medical treatment if you show any symptoms. Otherwise, it will lead to paralysis of your arms and legs or, even more serious conditions.   Keywords: botulism death
