How to treat botulism in chicken?
- When you find the symptoms early, try 1 teaspoon Epsom salts dissolved in 1 ounce warm water dripped into crop several times a day.
- Antitoxin: available but expensive. Therefore, treatment with type-specific antitoxin is effective but not practical.
- Vaccine: none.
Therefore, it’s much more important to take preventions ahead of its occurrence.
