Moles are pigmented patches on skin. Red mole is a common kind of mole, but in some cases, it may be a sign of a skin problem or even cancer.
There are following types of red moles:
- Cherry Hemangiomas. They have a red or purple hue and usually develop on heels, armpits, legs, back, chest and genitals.
- Intradermal Melanocytic Nevi. They are very common. They are always pink or light right and may not change in shape.
- Pyogenic Granulomas. They tend to bleed and are softer than other moles, but they are harmless.
- Red Moles Triggered by Melanoma. They have suspicious appearance and may be very dangerous.
If you find you have red moles, you need to consult your doctor and have those moles checked. Knowing the type of your red moles is very important. The earlier you receive diagnosis, the more likely you are to cure potential disease.
