Hemorrhoids often get better without surgery or doctors’ treatment. You can just start with some herbal remedies and lifestyle changes. Most of the treatments for hemorrhoids do not involve medications. If your symptoms are mild, your doctor may recommend some over-the-counter ointments with hydrocortisone or witch hazel to ease itching and pain. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may also be used for especially painful hemorrhoid. However, don't use an over-the-counter steroid cream for more than a week unless directed by your doctor because it may cause your skin to thin. Remember, if you're pregnant, or have other conditions, you should talk to your doctor before you try any medicine or change your diet.)   Keywords: hemorrhoids medicine, hemorrhoid medication, medications hemorrhoid
