When home remedies do little effect to improve your symptoms of hemorrhoids, your doctor will consider surgery options. The following are some common types of hemorrhoids surgery.
  • Banding: an office procedure used to treat internal hemorrhoids. This procedure involves using a tight band around the base of the hemorrhoid to cut off its blood supply
  • Sclerotherapy: involves injecting a chemical into the hemorrhoid. The chemical causes the hemorrhoid to shrink and stops it from bleeding.
  • Coagulation therapy: uses infrared light, heat, or extreme cold to make the hemorrhoid retract and shrink.
  • Hemorrhoidectomy: surgery to remove hemorrhoids
  • Hemorrhoidopexy: used to treat prolapsed hemorrhoids
In general, hemorrhoid surgery is safe and effective most of the time. But you'll still need to eat a high-fiber diet, avoid constipation, and take care of your bottom to help prevent new hemorrhoid flare-ups. So talk to your doctor to figure out what's right for you.   Keywords: hemorrhoid surgery, hemorrhoids surgery

Anytime you want it done
Well, it depends. For me, I had my hemorrhoids removed via hemorrhoidectomy 2 years ago and now it’s no longer my concern. As I found that I had developed hemorrhoids, I immediately went to the Dr. and consulted him about the best way to get them removed. Back then, I suffered a lot from bleeding. Since they were too big and too painful to be treated with laser surgery, my Dr. recommended hemorrhoidectomy and promised that I would never get those horrible hemorrhoids again if I had this surgery and kept a healthy diet. Before the surgery, I also did some research. Based on what I've learnt, I can give you some useful tips. If your case is mild, you can just have a laser surgery to ease the symptom and get your hemorrhoids safely removed. If your case is similar or even worse than mine, then doing hemorrhoidectomy is a good choice. Other surgeries like hemorrhoidal artery ligation and recto anal repair (HAL-RAR) will also be of great help if your condition is acute. Hope that helped.
