Yes, there is. Meningitis B vaccine is a new type of meningitis vaccine. It provides children with protection against the meningococcal B bacteria. Meningitis B vaccine is necessary because infection of it among children is the most common one. It's also called serogroup B meningococcal vaccine or Bexsero. Babies who are 8 weeks old are recommended to receive the vaccine. When they are 16 weeks old, they need a second shot. Then a booster dose one year later.
