If you or your loved one is having memory problems, don’t conclude that it’s dementia at once. A person needs to have at least two types of impairment that greatly disturb everyday life for a dementia diagnosis. However, early symptoms depend on the type and vary a great deal from person to person. Although the early signs vary, common early symptoms include:
  • memory problems, particularly remembering recent events
  • increasing confusion
  • reduced concentration
  • personality or behavior changes
  • apathy and depression
  • loss of ability to do everyday tasks
Sometimes people may mistakenly treat such behavior as a normal part of the ageing process. So, symptoms may also go worse and go unnoticed for a long time. Thus it’s important for you and your family members to recognize these signs and turn to the doctor for diagnosis.   Keywords: dementia symptoms early, early tests dementia
