Diaonosis An examination of wet hair lubricated with such products as a standard hair conditioner is required. Your doctor will carefully comb hair with a fine-toothed comb (nit comb) from the scalp to the end of the hair. If no live louse is found, he or she will likely repeat the entire exam at a second appointment. Treatment Over-the-counter (OTC) medications such as Permethrin (Nix) and pyrethrin with additives. They can kill lice and some of the eggs but may not kill recently laid eggs. Prescription medications like benzyl alcohol (Ulesfia), malathion (Ovide) and lindane. If the correct use of an OTC treatment has failed, your doctor may recommend a prescription treatment.

Treatment for Head lice

Your parent will buy headlice medicine at the store. They will then put on the medicine and after they are done then you will wear a bag on your head for 10-15 minutes. You or a parent will then wash your hair and in your next shower you will use (laundry)powder soap 2 handfuls. Next you will put shampoo 2 times. After that you may then use Conditioner and wash the rest of your body. Parents, check your child's hair often and make sure that they wear baby oil on their hair everyday to prevent having headlice ever again. I hope that this review was helpful!
Sounds quite familiar! I also did this with my child. I put lice shampoo in my child's hair, covered it with a shower cap, but I waited overnight, I washed his hair the next morning and combed with a lice comb. This really does work. I also talked to a lady from my local Dept. of Health and she told me that you don't have to buy all of that expensive stuff for your furniture and bedding. Just wash the bed clothes in hot water, dry them in the dryer, vacuum the furniture and the mattress, and you should be ok.
