When you have night anxiety, it takes you hours to fall asleep while feeling extremely worried. It can also be that you wake up suddenly in the middle of the night and have a panic attack.
People suffer from night anxiety because at night they lack distractions that they usually have during the day. In the daytime, people are busy with tasks. They don't have time to worry. Or they take actions to solve problems that cause worries. But at night, they do nothing.
Then how can you prevent night anxiety? Never lie in bed and force yourself to fall asleep. Instead you should get up and busy yourself with some tasks. Go to bed when you feel sleepy. You should also avoid wine, nicotine and caffeine during the evening. Don't watch comedies on TV or check your smartphone before you go to sleep.
