Torn meniscus is a very common type of knee injury. Each knee has two menisci, and a torn meniscus will make you feel trouble in extending your knees.
Any activity that causes you twist or rotate your knee can cause a torn meniscus like:
- Aggressive pivoting.
- Sudden stop and turn.
- Deep squatting.
- Lifting heaving things.
Degenerative changes of the knee can also cause torn meniscus without any trauma. It happens in older people.
