In general, children having a convulsion
shake all over and lose consciousness. Sometimes, they may get very stiff or twitch in just one area of the body.
Other signs and symptoms of convulsions may include:
- Having a fever higher than 100.4 F (38.0 C)
- Eye-rolling
- Unresponsiveness
- Moaning
- Losing bowel or bladder control
- Bleeding tongue or mouth from biting down
