Nitrogen asphyxiation is a form of inert gas asphyxiation which results from breathing nitrogen in the absence of oxygen, or a low amount of oxygen. If the atmosphere contains too much nitrogen and little oxygen, one may lose his consciousness, or even die after only a few breaths. It’s reported that more than 80 people died from accidental nitrogen asphyxiation in the US from 1992 to 2002. Keywords: nitrogen asphyxiation
